The audio files
There are thousands of words on this site. About half of them have audio files with the pronunciation.
The audio files are downloaded from freearabicdicionary, which is currently not available via the internet. I have received permission to use their files.
When you listen to the pronunciation of a word, you often hear several words. If it is a verb, you first hear the past tense and then the present tense. If it is a noun or adjective, you first hear the singular form and then the plural form.
Some words have several plural forms. In the case of animals, for example, there is a regular plural and a group plural. Other words may have alternative plural forms in Arabic. Therefore, you might hear the singular form followed by several plural forms in an audio file.
For each word on this website, there is a page with detailed information about the word. There you see conjugation forms of verbs and gender forms and plural forms of nouns. The content of the audio file usually matches what you see on the page. Sometimes there are more plural forms in the audio files than you see on the page. Sometimes there is a differnet plural form in the audio file.
I made this website because I love Arabic and I want to make it easier for people to learn Arabic. So far, there is no ads on the site, and I have no sponsors. In the future, I hope to somehow get revenue from the site, and thus be able to develop it faster. I have many plans to make this website even better, including reviewing the audio files so that they are even more in line with the content of the pages.
